InputExact number만 / 万억 / 亿조 / trillionmillionbillion

Why billion is 10억, not 1억

Korean and Chinese large-number units commonly advance by groups of four digits: 10,000 and 100,000,000. English million and billion use groups of three. One billion is 1,000,000,000: ten groups of 100,000,000, or 10억 / 10亿.

Number units are not exchange rates

1억 KRW equals 100 million KRW. It does not equal 100 million USD. This tool changes the way a number is expressed and does not convert currencies, estimate taxes or apply exchange rates.

Large numbers without rounded-away digits

The converter shifts decimal places using integer arithmetic, preserving values such as 9,007,199,254,740,993. A decimal point means a fraction; commas must group three digits. “Billion” uses the modern short scale, 10⁹.
